Our school in Tanzania is much more than simply a place where children come to learn — it serves as a true safe haven where young minds grow, dream, and explore their full potential. Every single day, we dedicate ourselves with love and commitment to providing not only a quality education but also instilling important values such as kindness, respect, and a hopeful vision for a brighter and better future.

However, keeping the school operating smoothly is far from easy, as we encounter several challenges. Currently, due to new mandates, we are required to expand the school from the primary to the secondary level. This brings additional challenges, including an insufficient number of desks, a shortage of essential teaching materials, and the need to complete new classrooms required for the expansion to accommodate the secondary level.

In addition, we are seeking support for the renovation and expansion of our existing facilities, as well as assistance in providing school buses for the safe and reliable transport of children to and from school. Many of our students travel long distances each day, and access to proper transportation would not only ease their journey but also ensure they can attend school regularly and safely.

Another significant challenge we face is securing access to clean and safe water. The local water supply is contaminated with dangerously high levels of fluoride, posing serious health risks to both the children attending the school and the staff who work there. At present, we collect rainwater, which is limited to the wet season, and during the dry season, our only solution is to transport safe drinking water by truck, a process that places immense strain on our financial and logistical resources. We are now exploring a long-term solution through a water system that can remove fluoride, heavy metals, and bacteria from the local supply, so that we no longer have to rely on costly transport options.
