Written by Head Teacher of Cherith Junior School
When I first joined Cherith ten years ago, I had no idea just how deeply this place would shape me — both as a professional and as a person. What began as a teaching job quickly transformed into a journey of purpose, growth, and fulfillment.
Cherith has not only been a school to me — it has been a second home. Here, I have been blessed to work in an environment where passion meets discipline, where every child matters, and where learning is not just about books but about building character and confidence.
Over the years, I have had the joy of watching hundreds of pupils pass through my hands. I have seen shy children grow into leaders, struggling learners become top performers, and dreams begin to take shape. Being part of that transformation is one of the most rewarding experiences any teacher could ask for.
What makes Cherith unique is the sense of family and teamwork. Our staff members support one another like brothers and sisters. We pray together, plan together, and face challenges together. That unity has helped us overcome many obstacles, from limited resources to long days, and has built a strong foundation for academic and spiritual success.
As a teacher, I’ve also grown in many ways. Cherith has given me the opportunity to sharpen my teaching skills, learn new methods, and mentor younger educators. I have been trusted with responsibility, encouraged in my efforts, and appreciated for my contributions.
Our school direcror’s leadership has also played a big role in shaping the school’s culture. With vision, humility, and consistency, we have been guided to always put the learners first, aim higher, and never forget the power of prayer and unity.
To my fellow teachers: I salute your dedication. To our pupils: keep shining — you are the reason we do what we do. And to the parents and guardians: thank you for the trust and support over the years.
As I mark ten years at Cherith, I look back with pride and look forward with hope. I am grateful to be part of something so meaningful — and I pray that the work we do here continues to touch lives for many years to come.
